About Surabhi NGO Welfare Organisation
Surabhi NGO Welfare Organization that started functioning in the year 2002 is non profit making organization with an aim to bring socio-economic, educational and health development among the rural and urban poor, the main target being the backward classes, minorities, and reserved community with due focus on the women and the children,. The Organisation is governed by like-minded dedicated social workers professionals 7 educationists which consists a majority of female representation. It is registered under society registration act of Karnataka state 1960
The Organisation has got well qualified & experienced full/part time staff that work in about 20 rural village in Bidar Dist of Karnataka state. It has got good networking built up with the consultant and resource persons for the effective implementation if the rural and urban development programs. The institution is also in possession of required materials and literatures connected with teh aimed programs. It also in possession of required two&four Wheeler conveyance facilities timely movement .

It gives me immense pleasure in saying that Prayavi School of Nursing made a tremendous progress in the field of nursing education in Northern Karnataka.The school imparts quality education through renewed, dedicated & experienced faculties. Pravayi believed that unbeatable faculty and infrastructure are vital factors for creating top-notch professionals.
Clinical facilities marks a remarkable progress in the history of Pravayi, we make our students Florence Nightingale personified students by practicing them the theory of incorporabreness in giving merciful, compassionate, service to ailing humanity.
The students are provided with excellent scope of heaving in all the levels with most modern state of art infrastructure and an ideal learning environment so that they may take lead in clinical research and for the advancement of patient care. We enrich the life of the student with so many loving memories that they experience the fragrance of homely environment.
I fondly, believe that our students will be an inspiration to the outer world by reminding that essence of ” Nursing is Care & Affection.1 surely believe that they will devote their life to the ailing humanity just like the mother of poor “MotherTeresa”.

Activities of the NGO in the Health Sector
In Association with Prayavi Hospital Bidar
- FREE HEALTH CAMPS conducted in the rural areas to access the poor & needy patients. About 2 Free camps are conducted every month where in free check up & free medicines are distributed. Pediatric, General Medicine, Orthopedic, E.N.T, Blood Grouping, Cancer Detection, HIV/AIDS awareness, Maternity camps are the different kinds of free camps being conducted.
- RURAL HEALTH SERVICES (HOSPITAL ON WHEELS-HOW): This scheme was inaugurated by Sri Viswanath, Hon’ble co-operative Minister, Govt. of Karnataka on 1st May 2003. Under this schema, a special mobile medical team visits rural&remote areas to give medical aid to poor
- The following free services given at Prayavi Hospital are aided by the Surabi NGO Welfare Organization Bidar:
FREE consultation for Senior Citizens, Freedom Fighters, Polio Victims and Handicaps, Babies born at Prayavi Hospital[for a period of One year], Ex- Serviceman, Ambulance services [within city limits], Cancer Detection.[Second Sunday of Every Month], consultation and 25% Reduction on lab investigation for PRESS Personal, 50% Reduction on consultant for personnel of Air-Force Station, BIDAR.
“PHILOSOPHY”
There is a considerable development in all aspects of medical profession and nursing profession is one of the most important part in development of Clinical care of patients. Beside, they form part and partial management of patients care and healthy problems. Keeping this in view Surabhi NGO Welfare Organization thought of starting School of Nursing, and institution par excellence in the backward are of Bidar Dist. This School of Nursing is known as “Prayavi School of nursing” BIDAR.
